At first I open a book it's working on left-right mode, but now it becomes the inconvenient scrolling down mode. How to leave the scrolling mode? Btw, how to make ibook read, if it can? Thanks.

Tap the two "AA" icon in the upper right get to the option to turn off Scrolling View at the bottom of the window that pops up.

Thanks Demo, the AA does work. Doesn't ibook have the function to read itself out?
Do you mean speak the text out loud? I don't think that iBooks has that functionality. I did find this with a very quick Google search, but it is pre iOS 7 and I don't know if it will work.

It doesn't work because iPad have no setting menu. iBook in MacBook can read so I thought it can in ipad, too. I guess they are different iBook... Still thanks, Demo.
The only way I know to do it in iOS 7 is to go to settings -> general -> accessibility and turn on "Speak Selection".
In iBooks, you can then tap to select text, and drag the selection out and then choose Speak and it will speak the highlighted text. The problem is, I do not know of anyway to select more than a single page of displayed text at any one time, so it is not very useful to read out loud a book.
