Q: How can I turn off silence completely?

In the Do Not Disturb settings, under Silence, I can choose only Always or Only while iPhone is locked. I want to choose Never. How can I do that?

That's what mine shows, also. What happens if you slide the "Manual" switch to ON (green side showing)?

If I turn on the Manual switch, it makes no change to the Silence section.

I guess you aren't able to choose Never in that section, then.

The setting under silence makes no difference unless Do Not Disturb is activated. That gives you the choice to decide how you want Do Not Disturb to act when it is turned on. When off, those settings do not control anything.
