Can't get my printer to work with Airport Express

I got a new MacBook today, everything is up and running, so is my Airport express with my DSL line, but my printer is not responding to the connection. I plugged in the USB port from the printer to the Airport and the printer and it doesn't work. I restarted things, went to troubleshooting... nothing helped. It's not the printer because if I plug in the printer USB port directly to my MacBook it works. Anyone have any advice? Thank you!

I just got an Airport Express today. The internet seems okay as long as I dont go to far. The music works with the same limitations.

BUT, I too had a problem adding my HP C3180 to the Express. I took the advice of others and did it with the gimp 1100 setup and it added and I could print.
But when I try to use copier and scanner says default device not found??!!?

Anyone have a work around for this?? Maybe I should just exchange for another printer as I just purchased the printer and Macbook on July 16.

Was hoping I would be able to just put the usb printer cable into the express and boom it would work but NO.

Any thoughts?

The directiions on your site are for the Printer Setup Utility that was part of OS X 10.3 Panther. There is no optoin for "IP Printing" in the Tiger Printer Setup Utility, so I don't get how everyone was able to follow the intructions successfully. I sure can't. Is it enough to just add the printer normally using the default browser (as a Bonjour printer) and selecting the aformentioned GIMP driver manually? If not, I need help getting instructions that pertain to Tiger IP Printing. Thanks.

Use the process outlined here:

drivers for the PhotoSmart P1100.
