Another school does not have access to a Macbook/Bretford Cart and would like to borrow our setup to get their mobile lab started. They have 46 minis.
If this is done, can they later take control of updating their minis or will they always need to update on my computer/cart?

If they supervise their iPad Minis with your computer, then they will be tied to your computer for management. If they have an MDM, they could use that to install additional configuration profiles or apps. A free MDM that you could try is Meraki Systems Manager https://meraki.cisco.com/products/systems-manager .
