Problem with iPad mini connected to MacBook Pro

Hello everyone!

When I connect my iPad mini to my Macbook Pro, the photos, which are located in the iPad's Camera Roll, are not displayed in "Digital Pictures" (Mac OS X Application), nor can they be seen in iPhoto. Also, I have to "trust" the same MacBook each time I connect the iPad, before the lock symbol disappears and "Digital Pictures" stops telling me to make the iPad trust the computer. Afterwards, the applications show me there are 0 pictures on the iPad. I am using OS X Lion. Any ideas?
