Safari cannot access my bank's online banking system

I just got off the phone with a bank help person re why I can no longer access my business account. After numerous experiments, he concluded that it was possible from a pc, but something in my Mac was blocking my access. I tried unchecking "Block Pop-up Windows" under Safari but that did no good. As was suggested in another discussion, I tried downloading Firefox and then tried dragging

file://localhost/Users/test/Downloads/user_agent_switcher-0-1.7.3-fx+sm.xpi into my Firefox. But although the idea of trying to fool the bank into thinking I was Internet Explorer sounds nice, I have no idea how to use this "fix". If no one can help, I guess I will delete Firefox and just drive to the bank when I need some info from my account.

Any help is appreciated.

Meant to reply to this last night, but was too exhausted. On my bank site, I got blocked with an error red bar and something like they could not access my account - this after only entering my ID - didn't even get to trying my password. After removing all my cookies and my URL of the bank, still didn't work. Had already reset Safari and empited the cache. Then finally tried Firefox alone and VOILA! was able to access my bank with no problem. The bank did say that they had updated their encryption. So I am assuming that Safari has not kept up with updating its encryption and Firefox has?????

Anyway, problem solved - in a very simple way. Wish I had just tried that right away instead of trying to work on Safari. I just wasn't sure I wanted one more thing on my computer.

Thanks ~Bee for your effort to help.
