Q: Migration Data Issue

I have completed migrating my data from my time machine but there is still nothing on the laptop.

Do you have to go and manually put the information on or is it stored somewhere?

Any advice would be appreciated.

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities

If you use Migration Assistant to transfer your files, it puts your transferred data in a new user account automatically.

To access to your migrated files, first go to  > Log Out, and you will see a second user, so select it and you will access to your files.

If you want to combine both accounts, see > https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-5472

    Hi Mede1

Thanks for your relpy.  I tried to see if there was another log on , but there is just my account and a guest account.

I tried to migrate the information again and when i go to tick the boxes for files and users it says that the user account on the source laptop needs attention.  But i have no idea what?  I have checked the sharing settings on the source computer and they are good to go?
