Issue with event created on iphone not showing in calendar on iphone

I tried to create an event on my iphone today. After I did it, it did not show in my calendar. I tried to create it several more times but still nothing. When I came home and checked iCal on my Mac, the event was there 6 times. It still doesn't show on iphone? What can I do to fix this?
