How to Update Graphics Drivers Manually? (Mac Pro 1,1 / ATI 5770)

Hey Guys,

I have a pretty old Mac Pro 1,1 (~2006) and decided to upgrade the horribly dated graphics card in this (the X1900) and after much research landed on the ATI Radeon 5770 as it was one of the few that were compatible and would go this far back.

Well, it turns out it made my graphics capabilities worse even though it acknowledges it, windows would flicker and lag, and I wouldn't be able to open games that it should absolutely be able to play. I'm quite sure its a driver problem, not a big issue, but when i went to software update to get the drivers, nothing was listed.

I upgraded my Snow Leopard in anticipation for my card coming in the mail, and that may be a problem I've read if you upgrade OS's before the card.

So is there a way to manually find my cards drivers?

Thanks,

Shawn Kim
