NTFS-3G

Hello,


I have Installed NTFS-3G on my mac so that i can read and write on my NTFS External Hardrive, But after installing it wasnt working so i hv deleted all the files related to NTFS-3G throuugh appcleaner and now when i am connecting my external drive i am getting the following error...



NTFS-3G could not mount /dev/disk1s1
at /Volumes/BUFFALO because the following problem occurred:


dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/local/lib/libfuse.2.dylib
  Referenced from: /usr/local/bin/ntfs-3g
  Reason: image not found


what should i do now...pls help!!😟

I'm no expert, so these are just suggestions:


It seems from the error message that NTFS-3G is still running and that not all of its files were deleted. Have you restarted the Mac since removing the app? If not, you should.


If so, check your login Items in your user account to see if it is listed there, If so, remove it.


If it is not in your login items, it may still be referenced in your Launch Daemons or Launch Agents (I can't remember the locations of these two things so maybe someone else can contribute those?)

OK, I found the "Launch" locations"


In Finder, go to "Macintosh HD", "Library", "LaunchAgents". Is there a "com......plist" file that looks like it's from ntfs-3g or whoever makes that software? If so, move it to your desktop and restart the Mac and see if the problem goes away. If you're not sure what to look for, post a little screen shot of the contents (in list view) of the "LaunchAgents" folder.


If the problem is still there, put the file from your desktop back where you got it from, then perform the same procedure for "Macintosh HD", "Library", "LaunchDaemons".
