I have a Optoma fed from SKY/Blueray and now apple TV.
When I want to airplay, I only get HD video.
My surround sound is the old red/black phono connections
What are my options to get sound from the apple TV to my surround sound
excluding major surround sound upgrade to air play compatable 🙂

Hm.. Try entering the product ID "6884" into the search field at wwww.monoprice.com. That should get you there. It's just a simple optical/coax to RCA converter, but for a great price.
