No icon appears for my recently downloaded apps so I can't open them!

Recently when I download an app from the App Store, an icon doesn't appear but there are settings for that app in the settings option, there is and open button next to the app on the AppStore but this doesn't work and I'm unable to open them! Help!

I only noticed this as my iBooks app kept crashing and the Facebook icon turned white and wouldn't open, I took the advice online to uninstall and reinstall them how ever an I one doesn't appear and there is no way to use these apps. Apps were downloading fine from the App Store at Christmas. Other apps already install will run fine, however I have tried to download more apps but the icon won't show and I can't open them.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430

Another thing to try - Turn the iPad Off & then back ON.

If that doesn't work:

• Log out of your iTunes store account. Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.

• Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.

• After restart, the Waiting should be gone.

 Cheers, Tom 😉
