Q: Power Mac G5 Wireless

Hello there!

Firstly, I hate reposts, and I hate that it wastes everyones time. So I will start by saying I have tried the two solutions already posted on my situation and no luck yet.

I have inherited a Power Mac G5 (PowerMac11,2). It Has 2 Proccessors. It's a Dual 2 GHz PowerPc G5. It's running OS X version 10.4.4 or Tiger.

I am trying to get it using wireless internet, it's been used as server/HDD to present and so never had any wireless/airport funtionality installed. We will be using it for a similar thing so the hardware is all fine, but ours will need wireless capability. After browsing a ton of different threads I bought the AirPort Extreme card ( http://tinyurl.com/nce7zek ) and accompanying Antenna ( http://tinyurl.com/ph6jdfd). The Card itself fit perfectly into the slot (I will attatch photo's) however, there was no port for the antenna on the back of the PC Tower.

So I dug a little further and saw people discussing that some have inbuilt antennas? Terrific I thought, and bought another card which had the sockets actually on the card for 2 cables hanging by the area of the cards socket (see photos) ( http://tinyurl.com/nwrugjp ) which doesn't fit the socket properly, though one of the 2 hanging cables clicks into the card nicely.

So I wind up here. Any help or suggestions?

Thanks alot!

Tobias
