Q: Trash appears full but is empty

My Trash looks full but it does empty but appears on the icon as full. Can anyone help please?

Mac mini, OS X Mavericks (10.9)

A:

The problem has been solved but not sure how? Normally if you cannot empty the trash is warns you but it did not. Everything is okay now thanks.
