I have money from iTunes gift cards on my account but It won't let me purchase from the app store

I have over 200 dollars on my Itunes account in gift cards and when I try to buy logic pro x it keeps getting me to update my billing information. I select "None" as I do not have a credit card, and then it tells my my purchase could not be completed. I have more than enough to purchase Logic Pro X on my Itunes account. Help?
