Question

since i've upgraded my ipad software, i cannot sync.

I have a 2008 macbook pro running 10.5.8, it will not support any newer version of Mac os. I was prompted to upgrade my ipad this week and where it was running perfectly with my mac, now it doesn't recognize it at all and I cannot re-install the previous os on the ipad. In fact, I get a prompt telling me upgrade my os on my Mac in order to sync my ipad. Since I can't do that because my macbook pro won't support any newer version of the os and I can't re-install the previous os that was originally on my ipad, I now have an ipad that wont sync. What can I do to get movies from my Mac to my ipad now.

Well, you have a problem because your OS X version is so old.

The latest version of iTunes, iTunes 11.1.3, needs at least OS X 10.6.8. (The current version of OS X is 10.9.1.)

So as soon as you purhcase a newer Mac, and migrate your iTunes library to it, all will be well again.
