I need a female mini display to male dvi adapter

I just became the owner of a 2010 Apple 27" display (Model A1316) that has a Mini Display cable to use with my Power Mac G5 that has a ATI Radeon 9650 video card with DVI ports but no Mini Display port.

Help! how can I hook up my monitor?

Hello, not as simple as a connector...

There is a way to go from DisplayPort to DVI/HDMI because it is a part of the DisplayPort standard. However, there is no way to go from DVI to DisplayPort natively because doing so has never been part of the DVI standard so all the graphics chipsets in existence cannot perform such a translation.

Only solution I find is a converter box... & you need Dual0link one for the 27" display...

And the ATI Radeon 9650 has only one Dual-link DVI port.

This is the way we did it:

Get this 5 inch Mini Displayport Female to Displayport Female Coupler:

Then get a DisplayPort to HDMI cable

This combination will enable you to connect your CinemaDisplay (mini-display port) to your HDMI input on your laptop or PC
