When does Numbers "not work," and give you this message? What action did you take, and what does Numbers do following that action?
What version of Numbers is giving you this message? Check the first item in the Numbers menu to find the version number.

Barry

Jan 19, 2014 4:45 AM in response to aacosta1420by SGIII,Here are a couple of possibilities that may help.
You may be inadvertently using the old version of Numbers to open a document in the new format. After the upgrade, the old version remains on your Mac, in an iWork folder within Applications. Try opening your document using the Numbers located in the main Applications folder, not the one in the subfolder.
You may need to give Mac App Store a nudge to make the new version of Numbers available for (free) download. In App Store go to Quck Links > Account and Manage under Hidden Purchases. You might also try signing out of your App Store account and signing back in.
