I have tried enabling Java and plug-ins and I have tried to instal the flash player for the version of Mac that I have but it only goes so far and says there was an error and stops. Any suggestions??

Sadly 10.5.8 is too old for Java.

Thank you for your help. I tried downloading the flash player from the link you sent but I can't even open the application to allow installtion..
You could try searching for version: 10,3,183,29 . That's the last version that installed fine on my system. Anything above that, would require an upgrade to a newer version of OS X.
