im trying to transfer my photos from my ipod touch 5 to my computer before i sell it but i cant figure it out. I cant get the autoplay window to pop up to import my photos so i dont know what to do and its driving me crazy. i need to know asap

http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1500 discusses enabling and disabling the auto play settings. After you enable the behaviour, take a picture or screenshot on your device, connect it, and it should appear.
It still didnt work. I went to the autoplay seeting in the control panel and screen shot a picture ad nothing happened. I even disconnected and reconnected my ipod and nothing showed up
Your Windows installation is messed up since Apple software is not needed/used for that purpose.
Try on another computer to verify.
Have you installed any camera/scanner or similar programs?
Restore windows to a previous point in time.
