Q: Hi I have been unable to back up my iphone and ipad to either icloud or itunes I have a iphone 4

Hi I have an appointment on tues at the Apple shop to sort out a few diificulties with my iphone4 but I am having trouble backing up my data. I have tried icloud and itunes but neither is working. Any sugestions?

iPhone 4, iOS 7.0.4
