Q: why does my iphone 4 go straight to voicemail

Why does my iphone go straight to voicemail? When someone calls, it goes right to voicemail, then when they call right back, it will ring and I can answer.

I have used the "call forward disable" numerous times, then the problem will go away for a day or two, then start all over again. I have already visited my local Verizon store to have them check the problem, but they couldn't find any other solutions.

Open up your control panel; Look for an icon that looks like a crescent moon; if it's white, tap on it and make sure the icon is black. Have someone call you and test it out

Do you have Do Not Disturb enabled? If you have DND enabled, and have it set so that people who call back within 2 minutes can get through, that would explain what you're seeing. Settings>Do Not Disturb. Make sure that "Manual" is turned off and that "Scheduled" is also turned off.
