Apple Maps
I was wondering that when one sets out a route on either app, is it the most direct route or fastest route?
Thanks

Hey Lewisb1,
It's the fastest route by default.

I wish Apple Maps would allow you to waypoints, like you can with Microsoft Streets and Trips. In other words, Maps only allows you to go from Point A to Point B, when there are times I want to go from Point A to Point C by way of Point B.
I also downloaded Yosemite tonight, and I am unhappy with two changes they made that in my opinion reduce the functionality of the app, They took away the bookmark function, which I found handy when plotting routes to or from places I frequent. Also, they did away with the hybrid feature (which showed the map superimposed over the satellite imagery).
I'll guess that you are referring to Apple Maps on the computer, since bookmarks or favorites still exist in the iOS app, as well as the hybrid map function. I'm not a Mac user, so I cannot really report on the function of Maps on the Mac.
Yes I have it on my MacBook Air.
Okay, sorry I cannot help with that.
