Hello, PBiPad4.
Thank you for the question. If you have our Pages application you can sync your Word documents via iTunes to the iPad as long as they meet the system specs in the article below.
Pages doesn’t import rich text format (.rtf) file types. Convert .rtf files to another supported file type before importing them into Pages.
Pages can open documents that were saved using some types of file encryption available in Microsoft Office 97 or later. If you can’t open an encrypted Microsoft Word document, try changing the type of encryption or the encryption options used, and then save it again before opening it in Pages.
- Connect your iOS device to your computer and open iTunes on your computer. After a moment, your iOS device appears in the left side of the iTunes window (under Devices).
- In iTunes, select your iOS device, and then click Apps.
- Scroll to the bottom of the Apps window and select Pages (in the Apps list under File Sharing).
- Click Add, and then locate the document you want to import in the Open window that appears.
- Select the file, and then click Open.
- Open Pages on your iOS device.
- In Documents view, tap
, and then tap iTunes.
- Tap the name of the document you want to import. The document is downloaded to your iOS device and appears in Documents view.
