Q: Facetime shows missed calls with red circle and won't go away

Facetime, although it is useful and easy to use it needs some serious updates and enhancements. My issue is that it shows missed calls with a red circle in the dock and won't go away. I don't mind seeing the missed call until I open Facetime on my Mac, but I answered the darn call on my iPhone. I've got both my iPhone and MBP synced using iCloud, but there is no option for Facetime. Why can't facetime figure this out? Is it really that hard? It is very annoying and it does the same crap on my iPhone vise versa. Only that my iPhone will call the person back when unlocking the phone. Man I hate that!

Hi, I'm having the same problem, the missed calls counter stays there even after I've opened Facetime and looked through the missed calls. This clearly looks like a bug. I found a way to make it go away:

    1. Open the System Preferences App

    2. Choose Notifications

    3. Scrool down to Facetime, and uncheck "Badge app icon", then check it again.

In my case the missed calls counter went away.
