Jan 19, 2014 1:36 PM in response to jojo294by ChrisJ4203,You will not be able to transfer the messages, however you will need to find something on the computer that you can sync the contacts to, like Address Book, Outlook, ets. Then you can sync to the iPhone. If the Sony uses Android, then you should have contacts in Gmail, and if so, you can sync that to the iPhone.

Jan 24, 2014 11:57 PM in response to jojo294by UKSANT,I used the following method, which means that your contacts are permanently on your iPhone (the problem with syncing to Gmail in order to 'transfer' contacts is that you need the gmail account to be active all the time in order to see the contacts):
1. Transfer all of your contacts to the Sony Experia's internal storage. It will create a vCard file.
2. Connect your Sony Experia to a pc
3. Ensure that you can see the Sony Experia's internal storage files, and identify the location of the vCard file (for me it was in system/PIM)
4. Set up an email account on your iPhone
5. Email the vCard file to the email account on your iPhone
6. Open the vCard file attachment on your iPhone
7. You should now see your contacts and automatically have the option (in the same screen) to 'Add all xxx Contacts' where xxx is the number of contacts in the vCard file
Hope that helps.
