Q: My aunt passed away and gave me her itunes gift card. When I try to redeem it I get an error message saying it has already been redeemed.

Is there a way to check a balance for this gift card?

iPhone 5, iOS 7.0.4

    Dkeilt,

     

    When an iTunes gift card is redeemed, the full amount goes as a credit into the account that redeemed it, and the card itself no longer has any value.

     

    If your aunt redeemed the card, the card now has no value, even if she didn't get around to buying anything with the credit.
