    "Got this update ..." -- got what update?  As I review the HT1222 article, I see tens (if not a hundred or so) of security updates listed from December 2013 back about ten years.

     

    Are you referring to the HT6058 article at the top, which discusses iOS 7.0.4?  If so, that is an update that addresses issues, not just security.  You should definitely be running iOS 7.0.4 on your iPad (unless it is an original iPad which cannot run iOS 7).

    fix for Facetime calls to fail for some users.

     

    about: version 7.0.3 (11B511) on all ipads.

    Includes 2 minis I bought 2 weeks ago.

    All iPads and iPhones should be up to iOS 7.0.4.  That is the current version.

     

    The original iPad and any iPhones older than iPhone 4 cannot support this latest version.  All others can.
