iPhoto Retouch - Grabbing pixels not working

Hi all,

Apple says one can grab pixels from a different part of a picture in the Retouch tool in iPhoto.

It does not seem to be working with me. When I press the "option key" with the "Retouch" function on it switches the direction of the "Rotate" function. If I then point the mouse to the desired part of a picture and try to capture the color texture, absolutely nothing happens.

I anticipate thanks if you can provide guidance.

Best, Tatsch

It's a little odd but it does work.

Yes, the rotate indicator will contiue to rotate, but that's no matter.

Click on Retouch

Option- Click on the Refernence point of the Photo

Then lick and drag on the area you want to retouh.

But be aware it's not a clone tool, it doesn't copy the pixels from the reference point, but rather tries to aggregate them against the target point.
