just received a mail from iCloud Customer Care (mc10010@aol.com) saying my E-mail account has exceeded its limit.

I have a MacBook Pro and an @mac.com e-mail address. I do not consciously have anything to do with iCloud but just received a mail from iCloud Customer Care (mc10010@aol.com) saying my E-mail account has exceeded its limit.

Is it something I should respond to or is it a con?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.3), Mail 5.2

It is a phishing attempt to trick you into disclosing personal or financial information. Delete the email.

Apple would never be emailing you from an AOL address.

Thanks. I did think it improbable that they would use an AOL address which is why I mentioned it. Mail is now deleted. ;-)
