Hey, Working with Imovie. Can't manip. volume on a second song added to background? First one right next to it, can no prob. Why can't I manip. second one, properly placed in background(i.e.green color not purple)???
Can you not see the horizontal line in the waveform which you raise or lower to adjust volume? the background sound track should behave just the same as the other sound tracks

No, when you put the pointer on that black line, the little icon that looks like a black bar with a little black dash up and down, is not showing up no matter what I do. It does show up in the first song when I do the same thing?
Strange. I checked it and it worked for me.
Can you adjust the volume usng the Adjust - volume control?

If not you could try moving the background music to just below the other sound tracks - it doesn't have to be in the background position. Maybe you will then be able to change the volume.
