Game center not working on iPod touch

Just recently, one of my friends sent me an invite to play a game with them thru game center. once I clicked on the invite, it never loaded, wondering why, I tried to send them an invite, but game center showed an error message that said it could not connect, so Ichecked the wifi to find that it had all bars. I was even standing right next to it. Confused, I tried the one fix that always worked on computers. I turned it all the way off, hoping that it would work after that, but it didn't. After turning it on again and opening game center, it still came up with a blank white screen. My friend sugested checking the game ceter catagory in settings, but that wouldn't load ither. does anyone know what is going on or how to fix it?

Try:

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

-Go to Settings>Game Center and sign out and sign back in

- Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore from backup. See:

iOS: How to back up

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
