Why are my photos that I copied from my iMac disappearing from my iPad

I tried to rearrange/delete photos from my iPad that I had copied from my iMac. When that did not work, aftre some online searches, I removed all from my iPad reorganized them in iPhoto on my iMac then synced them to the iPad. After a few weeks, most were gone. I went back and added two albumns. I a week or so, one albumn was gone. I do not want Apple to force me to use the cloud. I have OS X v 10.8.5 and IOS 7.0.4. Apple keeps anoying me, wish the hardware wasn't so good.

Thank you,

Jerry

Hello, Jerry.

Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.

Make sure the album is still viewable in iPhoto, delete the iPod photo cache and resync the photos. If the issue persists, see the second article below.

Thank you Jason269, this helped in that I did not understand the use of the term "iPod" relative to the iPad. Therefore did not look further. But my problem was the loss of some albumns. I have since deleted or removed the photos on my iPad and re-synced them. So time will tell if I again suffer a loss. Thanks again, just the realization of the use of the term iPod will help.
