How do i get a code off of my ipod to register my device in order to log into my cloud account

What code do you want to get off the iPod? If you mean a passcode or password and want to see that, you cannot...you must enter it yourself as it is not retrievable.
If you want to remove a passcode, you must go to Settings > General > Passcode Lock and enter the passcode so you can turn it off.
