Ion Tape Express

I joined iTunes solely because I own many cassette tapes and had purchased an Ion tape-to-MP3 converter / player. Beginning in 2011, I converted about 46 cassette tapes to iTunes. iTunes in turn downloaded them into the Windows Media Center on my Lenovo laptop. I haven't been able to do this since about May 1, 2013. I have tried to convert the same tape at least four times. I can't get it to download. I've read somewhere that there was an incompatibility with the old Ion software and the 2013 iTunes upgrade. Anyone have a solution?
