Can anyone suggest a windows XP emulator that runs on OS 10.6 on my iMac?

It would seem a simple request but I cannot find, and maybe it is me being a Mac-dufus, an emulator, that runs on my mac, such that I can run a 32 bit windows XP software application.

Can anyone suggest a solution? thanks

iMac (27-inch Mid 2011), Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Sincerely, thanks for the amazingly quick reply/post.

FYI - VMware fusion only works with 10.7 and higher, Virtualbox is clunky and I think you need a compute science degree to operate it.

New virtual machine when I tried to ijnstall the trail version offers a migrate from PC or install windows from a DVD or image.......and I don't ewant to do that, I just want to run an emulator, install 2 XP 32 bit applications and be able to run them in the emulator is all. AM I missing something? thanks again for any help in advance

Note, XP is soon to be unsupported without a hefty per license fee to Microsoft. That note is on the tip I have above. This means patches won't come in a timely basis unless you want ot pay Microsoft.

Check whatever XP software you have is known to work with Windows 7 before investing in it, as you'll soon want to get Windows 7 instead, even if only in 32 bit.
