Q: Is there a way to duplicate my current itunes library on a new computer? Playlists and all? I have some music downloaded from cd's and some from sponsored websites as well. 3 year old macbook pro > new retina display macbook.

    Hi jaymhogan13,

     

    If you take another look at the doc you came from (iTunes: How to move your music to a new computer), there should be info in there about moving playlists as well, depending on the method you chose. Under Home Sharing, it should be the last item "Transferring playlists". Under External Drive, it should be "Part 2: Copy iTunes folder from the old computer:". Both of these methods should preserve your playlists, with the External Drive method transfering your entire iTunes folder and all associated info.
