I can't find Touch ID on my iPhone
I have reset all settings from iPhone 5S and I cannot find in Settings > General > Touch ID
iPhone 5s, iOS 7.0.4
I have reset all settings from iPhone 5S and I cannot find in Settings > General > Touch ID
iPhone 5s, iOS 7.0.4
For anyone who just bought a new iPhone 5s and is running the 7.1 update, the Touch ID & Passcode is not located in Settings>General.
it was moved into the Setting section. Go to where General is and look a few places down. It's located there. I can't say I felt smart when I discovered this for myself but I humbly admit my blind direction following and share that very simple finding for anyone else looking in the General section.

Ok, I may be a couple years late here however I just had a issue with my iPhone 5 so here's how I fixed it hopefully this will help others... go to settings, iCloud, you need to log in to your account, once you log in, when you go back to your settings you will see the the setting for your passcode and finger print stuff. It worked for me hopefully this helps.
Setting up Touch ID
You can set up Touch ID in iOS Setup Assistant or by tapping Settings > General > Touch ID & Passcode > Touch ID.
To configure Touch ID, you must first set up a passcode. Touch ID is designed to minimize the input of your passcode, but your passcode will be needed for additional security validation, such as enrolling new fingerprints.

It's called Touch ID and Passcode. If it appears just as Passcode lock then either you don't have a 5S or it has been disabled by a Security profile if you have an MS Exchange email account on the phone.
Model ME296LL/A
Today i open the box with this brand new iPhone 5S. My son click on Settings < General < Reset < Reset All Settings. After that when i activate my iPhone as a new one i cant find
Settings > General > Touch ID & Passcode > Touch ID.
As it's new take it to an Apple store. It is clearly defective.
Where did you bought the 5s from?
You are sure it's not the 5?
Except the OP does not see Touch ID & Passcode in Settings.
What is the model number? I suspect it is not a 5S.
.
Its an 5S because when i first activate my phone everything was ok with the Touch ID & Passcode.
Can you not give us the model number?
You can try restoring the phone as new. However, other threads seem to indicate that it's a hardware issue in many cases.
I have allready try restoring the phone as new. However same issue.
The position for the Passcode option has changed for all iPhones with IOS 7.1 not only for the 5s.
