How can I use an A1082 monitor with my MacBook Pro?

How can I use an A1082 monitor with my MacBook Pro?

I received an apple A1082 monitor this past weekend from a friend and we couldn't, and still can't, figure out how it can be used with my MacBook Pro. I know that I need an adapter, but where does it get power from? Thanks in-advance. Richie.

Malcolm - thank you for taking the time to reply, I appreciate it. I'm curious now though, is the mod. # A1097 specific to just the power supply? And the A1097 is what is/was spec'd for the A1082? I hope my questions make sense.
