iPhone syncing with iTunes issue cannot sync

Anybody else running on windows 8.1 having issues where as unable to sync iPhone to iTunes? Because I sure can't. I hook up my phone message pops up saying whether to trust or not, I select trust and nothing happens on iTunes no error message nothing, and I'm running on the latest version of iTunes as well
