how can I connect an iPhone 4 to an iPhone 5 docking device to allow me to use the device for both $ & 5 iphones?

I have iPhone 4, other family members have iPhone 5. We have an iPhone 5 docking device. How can I connect my iPhone 4 to the iPhone 5 device, and be able to charge / play music etc?
