Just sold my iphone 4 to a friend. Unfortunately the phone cannot be reset without providing the password for the my old iTunes account. Which I don't remember anymore. Please help. Thanks in advance.

You can remove the iPhone 4 from Find My iPhone by logging into iCloud.com. See "Remove an iOS device or Mac on which you can’t turn off Find My iPhone" in this article for the steps:
