Logic pro X SOS

In logic i can play the software instruments absoluetly fine its just to when i record them nothing plays back, their is a signal and some audio thats been recorded but their no sound, the only way i can record the synths is if i open up a Template record something in their close it then it works fine for that session but as soon as i close it and open it back up later i have the same problem, really annoying😠 help please?
