I've recently had trouble accessing any purchased content through Apple TV. Whenever I try and play content I have purchased I recieve the error message "iTunes Store is currently unavailable. Please try again later". This has been going on for 5 days now. I can play my purchased content from the cloud on my iPhone, my iPad and my desktop computer however when I try and use AirPlayto stream it onto Apple TV, it does not play and I am stuck looking at "now playing on Apple TV" screen with nothing happening.


I have already tried:

  • Restarting Apple TV
  • Restoring Apple TV to factory settings
  • Signing out and back in
  • Changing Dolby Audio to "on"
  • Checked the time zone is correct


I have also signed into my sister's account - everything played perfectly fine. I have tried three different Apple TV devices, exactly the same problem. I have called iTunes and Apple support and both are baffled and have said they do not know what to do, my account according to them is completely fine and technical support have said they do not know what to do - so I really feel I'm at a loose end.


This problem has occured since changing my password - I don't know if that means anything?


Does anybody have any suggestions?
