What is security code meaning when I buy a app

Credit cards typically have a 3 or 4 digit security code on the back of the card by the signature line. Did you enter the code for your credit card?

If the card is valid and you are typing the correct code, I can't see why it would not be valid. Have you have any issues at all with previous iTunes or App Store purchases?
