iphone could not be restored error 1669

Instead of my network provider, my iPhone displays 'Searching...'. I tried to reset through my iTunes and my phone but could not due to Find My iPhone, so I went onto Find My iPhone on my computer and erased my phone thinking it would be like a factory reset. I have tried restoring the device but everytime I try I get Error 1669 and the restoration crashes on 'Restoring iPhone's Firmware' I was just wondering what I could do to get the phone back to before I erased it. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.

iPhone 5, iOS 7.0.4

Hello, KBAKA.

Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.

Error 1669 can be similar to error 1. Try the troubleshooting steps for error one as outlined below.

Check for hardware issues

Try to restore your iOS device two more times while connected with a cable, computer, and network you know are good. Also, confirm yoursecurity software and settings are allowing communication between your device and update servers. If you still see the alert when you update or restore, contact Apple support.

Common errors: 1, 10-47, 1002, 1011, 1012, 1014, 1000-1020.

If the restore still does not work, then there is a hardware issue that needs to be addressed. Make an appointment at the Genius Bar.

I did some research and the majority of the users are actually having a hardware issue. Any failure or broken parts inside the iPhone will result in this error. In my case, my antenna was not working, and the phone was not able to get any signal from the carrier. I decided to upgrade my iOS and was stuck in the infinite loop 1669..

Nice work Apple. Now I can't even use it as an iPod.

To resolve this issue, you need to fix any broken parts in your phone. If your phone is still under warranty, Apple tech will simply give you a replacement unit, because they know it's too much of a hassel to fix it.

If your phone is outside of warranty, then your best bet is to sell the parts on eBay.
