Software update query

I own a macbook pro 5.1 with OS X 10.5.8 . Which is the most up to date OS I can upgrade to?

I am trying to update my Itunes so it can work with my new Iphone 5c, however required to upgrade the Itunes to 11.1.3, however cannot do it with OS 10.5.8.

Click here, buy and install the DVD, and run Software Update twice. It isn't necessary to upgrade past 10.6.8; if it matters, the maximum OS for your machine is at least Mavericks 10.9.1.
