How much current the lightning/USB adapter can supply to an USB device

I bought a caméra terminated with a USB cable.

I want to connect that camera to my ipad mini using lightning to USB adapter

sold by Apple.


What is the maximum current supplied by the ipad mini through this adapter.?

The lightning to USB camera adapter cable doesn't provide output power. It only transfers the pic files from the camera. The camera's battery provides the power to operate the camera during this operation.


The lightning to USB cable is used to charge the iPad and the charger is rated at 10 or 12Watts of 5V power. So this cable carries 2+ Amps.
