Q: Problems with imessage, facetime, speaker and restrictions code

I have been having problems with my facetime and imessage plus my speaker cuts in and out. The imessage and facetime were fine and all of a sudden the phone says it is 'waiting activation'. The imessage went first and then the facetime.

 

I have followed the directions on the apple website which after looking through a number of pages I believe the suggestion to reset the phone may work. I have backed up the phone and went through the instructions to 'Erase all content and settings' when it asks me for the restrictions code. I can't remember this code and I have already had two attempts. I'm a bit worried I will be logged out the phone if I try anymore.

 

My questions are:

- How can I recover my restrictions code?

- Is erasing the phone and resetting it as new the best solution for my original problems?

- Will the back ups to icloud, itunes and my computer (I've done all three today) keep the entries in my calendar or will it erase them?

- I haven't looked at why the speaker sometimes works and othertimes it doesn't yet? Any suggestions?

  Sometimes the phone rings when people are calling. Othertimes it doesnt (although the vibration still works), The speaker doesn't work on skype (people hear me but I can't hear them) and sometimes the tones work when using the camera or different apps other times it doesn't.
