what's going on with icloud. Can't get or send emails.

I am. I have snow leopard and it keeps asking me for my mobile me password and sign in on my mac pro and macbook pro. Iphone mail works as does going in through the net and signing into the cloud there. but mail on my computer is not working. Is this a problem with the server or me. right after my drive completely died and is clicking on mac pro. Probably a coincidence but holy cow, talk about bad timing. I thought at first that my mac pro and mac book pro had a virus but the mac book pro is still up and running, just no mail!
Yes. Also someone just posted they called apple aupport and they are aware of problem and trying to fix.

Have the same problem with 2 different accounts. Works on iCloud web site but lost all access through outlook or windows 8 mail app.
Mine was working via iCloud site but now that's not working either...
yes , have been on with a tech support agent who had me try many different scenarios including deleting my account to reset up and no go.. finally someone told me that they know about the problem and that it should be fixed soon.. but that was yesterday😟
